Meet the founder — Taylor monroe

Online Business Manager and your Right Hand Woman

Type A organized. Lover of pretty things. Go-to hype woman.

A big-city girl at heart, Taylor’s always been at home in the creative world. From New York City to London to Toronto, she’s exercised her creativity in many, many ways. Like being a contemporary ballet dancer, photographer, wedding planner, high-end events executive… you name it. With so many creative interests, she never knew which direction to take. But there was something she brought to every position she had, no matter the industry – organization.

She realized she thrived where few did–in fast-paced, detail-oriented environments, and decided to make a home here.

Combining her love for creativity with organizational strategy, she started her own VA agency, committed to serving the artistic community she knew and loved. After adding more talented women to the team, TM+Co was born. Offering holistic support and system builds, you now have a go-to team that takes care of it all. Let them help you navigate the pressures (and joys!) of being a business owner.

Taylor’s Timeline

TM+Co didn’t just happen overnight–it’s been a long time coming.

The New York City Diaries

2010: Ailey + Ballet in NYC

Taylor moved to New York City to pursue dancing full-time (always an NYC girl!). Her work was a mixture of ballet and modern dance, and going to Ailey was her way of breaking free from the rigid world of ballet. Living in Brooklyn Heights and walking everywhere, she was constantly inspired by the city's energy–the fashion, the creativity, and the people.

Here, Taylor moved back to Toronto and pursued her BFA in photography, while also completing a minor in English. She often combined visually “pretty” imagery with a darker concept. Photoshop was also her thing, combining it with the scenes she’d crafted and the lighting she set for her photographs to create vignettes–combining old and new styles. She interned in the Photo Editing department at The Globe & Mail, a prominent newspaper in Toronto.

Weddings have always been a huge passion of hers (her 10th grade careers project was all about wedding planners, and was even displayed in the shape of a wedding cake!), so she studied and got a diploma in wedding planning, styling, and design. While studying, Taylor interned with a wedding day-of coordinator but eventually got a job with a high-end restaurant group in the events department. She booked venues for small and large events across their 35+ restaurants and private dining rooms in London. Lots of schmoozing involved.

Taylor married her husband and moved back to Toronto. Here, she worked as a photo editor at a wedding photography studio. It was the best of both worlds! She got to use her photography background (and a particular love of the editing process) while being immersed in the wedding industry she’d grown so fond of. She even ended up writing wedding story blogs for the weddings her company photographed.

Taylor felt like she was finally getting into a groove in the wedding industry… and then Covid. Weddings got canceled, so she got laid off. It was back to square one. 2020 was the year Taylor discovered the world of VA’s–the type of work that pulled together so many of her interests and skills, like photography, web design, hyper organization, and writing. She decided to turn this passion into a VA business to serve the creative community she loved.

Needless to say, things picked up fast. She was booked out within three months and realized she’d tapped into something really great. Realizing she could help more businesses by expanding her team, she hired the women who are still here today. Since then, Taylor’s fully moved into her OBM role, tapping into her true passion for full-on business management and systemization.
